The Chess Centre was established in 2020, with the intention of developing Chess through the provision of top level playing and training facilities.
We launched our first site in Ilkley in early 2021, a first of its type dedicated Chess facility set up by volunteers to promote the game of Chess in Ilkley and surrounding areas.
Over the last few years we have expanded our training and playing offering with additional dedicated facilities now in Bradford, and off-site classes running in Guiseley, Horsforth and Morley.
Everyone can play Chess!
We are open to new adult and junior members from any background, whether you are completely new to Chess, or a Grandmaster, there is a place for you at the Ilkley Chess Centre.
